Free pattern: Penguin Basket

A cute Penguin Basket is a lovely decor and storage item for the nursery.

Design: Lankava, Marja Rautiainen.
Size: 22 x 18.5 cm (diameter x height).
Yarn: Lankava Lilli Tube Yarn (80 % recycled cotton, 20 % polyester, 1 kg = 220 m) 540 g black (20) and 130 g white (1). For the beak: Moi Braided Yarn (80 % recycled cotton, 20 % polyester, 500 g = 300 m) 5 g brown (54), or similar bulky cotton or wool yarn.
Crochet hook: 4.5 mm and metal hook 8 mm, or size to obtain gauge.
Other supplies: 2 black buttons, darning needle, sewing thread in the beak color and all-purpose glue.
Gauge: 6.5 sts and 8 rnds = 10 cm over wc sts.
