Delivery terms - Lankava Oy
Terms and Conditions
In effect from 1st November 2022.
Lankava Oy (VAT number: FI02428000, street address: Kauppatie 65, 62200 KAUHAVA, FINLAND, tel: +358 (0)6 434 5500, email: lankava @ lankava.fi) sells goods to consumer customers (of 18 years or above), and businesses. The customer needs to accept the terms and conditions listed below before placing an order in the Lankava online store.
Placing an order
The goods are ordered via the online store by placing the goods in the shopping chart and paying for the goods in the “Checkout” page. Please check your order thoroughly before placing it. You need to accept the terms and conditions given here to be able to place an order. Your order is placed once you select “Place order” in the “Checkout” page. After placing your order, you cannot change it in the online store. If you wish to change or cancel your order, contact Lankava’s customer service.
Once we have received your order, an order confirmation will be automatically sent to the email address provided. Please note that you need to provide a valid email address to receive the confirmation.
Prices and taxes
All prices shown are Ex Works and are inclusive of value added tax (VAT) within the EU. The delivery costs are shown in the “Checkout” page, after you have selected the delivery method. Lankava reserves the right to change the prices and delivery costs.
The payment methods available to you depend on the shipping destination and the shipping method selected. Select the payment method from the options shown for you in the online store.
Paytrail (net bank, card payments, Paypal, MobilePay)
Paytrail Oyj offers multiple payment services, including online payments via most of the Finnish net banks, payments by card, or through Paypal (Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Ålandsbanken, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Aktia, POP Pankki, Säästöpankki, Oma Säästöpankki, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, MobilePay, Collector Bank, Paypal, Jousto). The online payments are administrated by Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7), together with Finnish banks and credit providers.
(Payment method provider: In forwarding payments and as a payment method provider, Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) works together with Finnish banks and credit providers. Paytrail Oyj is the receiver of the payment shown in the bank statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the seller. Paytrail Oyj is authorized by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority to offer payment services. For complaints, contact the seller, Lankava Oy.

Payments via net banks
The Lankava online store accepts payments via Finnish net banks. The forwarding of payments is realized by Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7), in co-operation with Finnish banks and credit providers. For more information, see Paytrail.
Payments by card
Card payments are available via Paytrail, see Paytrail.
Paypal is available via Paytrail, see Paytrail.
Advance payment with an invoice sent via email (consumer customers and businesses)
Lankava sends the invoice to you via email. The order is sent once the payment shows on Lankava’s bank account.
Cash on delivery / Collect on delivery (consumer customers)
Service offered by the Finnish postal services (Posti), where you pay for the order at the postal outlet when picking up the order. The additional fee of 7,50 EUR is included in the delivery price for this payment method.
Invoice (businesses, Finland)
Invoice sent to you as an e-invoice or via email. Invoicing charge for an invoice sent in paper is 3 EUR. If your business uses e-invoices, please let us know the necessary information to make an e-invoice.
Deliveries to Finland
You can see the delivery charges for your order when you have selected the payment and delivery methods in the online store. Parcels can be tracked with the item ID. For business customers we may use Kiitolinja in addition to the delivery methods offered by Posti. The method of delivery for business customers is determined by the size and delivery address of the order, in addition to what has been agreed previously with each customer. Whole bales of cotton tricot are always charged a pallet fee.
Delivery methods for consumer customers in deliveries within Finland
- Pick up from Posti parcel locker. You receive a code in a text message to pick up the parcel once it has arrived at the parcel locker.
- Pick up from a postal outlet. You receive a text message from Posti once the parcel has arrived at the postal outlet you have selected.
- Home delivery. A flexible service offered by Posti, where the parcel is delivered to your home. Posti contacts you to set the delivery time, which may also be in the evening, outside office hours.
- Pick up from the Lankava store in Kauhava. You can fetch your order from our store when you select the delivery method “Pick-up at Lankava store”. Let us know the date you wish to fetch your order in the additional information for the order. Orders can be picked up during the opening hours of our store.
Deliveries outside Finland
For deliveries outside Finland, we use the services offered by Posti (Express Business Day, Parcel Connect, Priority, and EMS), and Postnord/DPD/MyPack Collect. The delivery methods offered vary according to the country of destination. You can see the available delivery methods and delivery costs in the online store before you place your order and pay for it. The delivery time depends on the delivery method and destination.
Delivery times within Finland
Usually our delivery time within Finland is 1-3 working days, depending on the contents of the order, the delivery method and seasonal peak times. Lankava does not take responsibility for delays caused by force majeure situations or indirect harms caused by possible delays. If the item you have ordered is not available, we will contact you to set a different delivery time, or, you may cancel the order, in full, or only for the item in question. Note that warps made to order and certain items which are not held in stock have different delivery times which are given in the product descriptions for each product.
Returns and cancellations
You have the right of cancellation, within 14 days of receiving your order. For a cancellation, you need to send the item(s) back in original condition and in the original package, within 14 days. Contact us about the cancellation beforehand. Note that you are responsible for the delivery costs of the returned item(s).
Attach the necessary information (information about the order, your name and contact information, and your bank account number for returning the money) to the return. We will reimburse you once the returned items have arrived at Lankava. If the returned item, or items, have been used, we reserve the right to lessen the reimbursement by the decrease in value. If you wish to return items after the 14-days inspection period, contact us.
Orders which have not yet been packed and dispatched can be cancelled without any cost. For cancellations prior to dispatch, telephone us on weekdays.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation:
Warps made to order and ribbons, fabrics, etc. cut to desired length: The right of cancellation does not apply to items made or modified on customer request.
Items ordered specially for the customer: Items with are not kept in the stock but are only ordered upon customer’s request are not within the right of cancellation.
Whole bales and assortments of cotton tricot (T-shirt yarn): Whole bales of cotton tricot cannot be returned due to the high delivery costs. Assortments of cotton tricot cannot be returned. The customer is informed upon order that the assortments are collected from the current stock within the specific colour group, therefore the contents may vary.
Complaints about damaged items or items not corresponding the order
If your parcel is missing items, or contains incorrect or damaged items, please contact our customer service without delay. Lankava Oy will pay for the delivery costs of incorrect or damaged items. Always contact us before you return the item(s).

Missing or damaged parcels
If a parcel gets lost or damaged during the shipping, please notify us without delay. If the parcel has been damaged by Posti during the shipping, make a complaint immediately at the postal outlet.
Leaving a parcel unclaimed does not correspond to cancelling or returning your order. For leaving a parcel unclaimed, without notifying us that you wish to cancel your order, we will charge you 10 EUR.
Lankava Oy does not take responsibility for
- a product shown in the online store being out of stock.
- possible mistakes in the product images, product weights or prices given in the online store.
- inaccuracies in the stock situation of an item.
- slight differences between the product picture in the online store and the item the customer receives.
- differences in shade which may occur between actual yarn colours and the pictures shown in the online store and viewed on different screens or printed shade samples.
- any information given to the online store by a third party.
- possible mistakes in the free patterns available in the online store.
