Viking Garn Alpaca Maya, 50 g

Alpaca Maya is the perfect choice for the most spectacular winter knitwear: shirts, long cardigans, dresses or ponchos. The combination of superfine alpaca wool, merino wool and nylon makes the yarn luxuriously soft and wonderfully fluffy. The finished knitwear can be lightly brushed for fluffier finish. Alpaca Maya can also be used as an effect yarn with other yarns to bring more fluff to the knit.

As a fibre alpaca is very warm being the warmest of the wool fibres, but at the same time breathable. Merino wool gives the yarn a wonderful feeling of softness and finishes the yarn beautifully. Alpaca Maya is charmingly thick, stylish and lightweight at the same time. For example, you only need 200-300 grams of yarn for a woman's long-sleeved sweater. 
To emphasise the fluffiness of the yarn, the needle recommendation is 7 mm, but for tighter knit a 4 mm needle is a good choice.
