Merssi mercerised cotton yarn

Merssi 8/2 is a high-quality mercerized cotton yarn. It is excellent for both warps and wefts in weaving, as well as for crochet. It can also be used for machine knitting. Mercerization means that the yarn has been chemically treated so that the fibers swell and then stretch. This makes the yarn shinier and stronger, and the colorfastness is better. The yarn shrinks during the treatment and will therefore not shrink when washed.
