Istex Lettlopi, B-quality

Due to a production error, a B-quality batch has been spun more tightly than traditional Lettlopi yarn. As a result, patterns designed for standard Lettlopi cannot be applied directly, as the gauge does not correspond to normal Lettlopi.

Despite being more tightly spun, B-guality Lettlopi is a high-quality yarn made from 100% Icelandic wool, producing garments that are lightweight yet warm. The natural properties of Icelandic wool also make it suitable for outdoor use. An Icelandic wool sweater is warm, light, and breathable.

When used on its own, this yarn is an excellent choice for a wide variety of knitting projects. Please note that combining B-quality Lettlopi with standard Lettlopi in colorwork knitting may cause challenges due to differences in gauge and changes in fabric texture.

Care instructions: Hand wash if necessary in lukewarm water (30°C) using a mild wool detergent. Soak the garment for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Gently squeeze out excess water. Do not rub or wring; instead, press out water using a towel. Gently shape the garment to size and dry flat. Do not hang.

Wool stays fresh for a long time and does not require frequent washing. Often, airing the garment outdoors is sufficient.

Tip: If desired, you may add wool conditioner or a small amount of vinegar to the final rinse to make the knitted fabric softer.
