Wool roving, gradient colors

This thin wool roving is an unspun yarn made from Finnish sheep wool. Each cake has two threads running together, but the threads are not plied around each other. This yarn doesn’t have a twist, so it’s more fragile, but when the two threads are knitted together, it’s actually quite easy to knit with. Use this lovely gradient yarn for knitting and other techniques, such as felting. These variegated shades are created during the carding process, so the color shifts are gradual. There’s approx. 25 m of each color shade. The colorways are created by mixing natural wool shades with dyed colors. Use this wool roving for unique projects, including felted knits or crochet pieces.

Washing instructions: Hand wash cold with a detergent suitable for wool, lay flat to dry. When making felted products, allow for approx. 30% for the shrinkage. For felting, wash the product in the washing machine at 40-60 °C with regular detergent.
